Nashville, Tennessee

It seems like I spend a lot of time in and out of Nashville but hardly ever slow down enough to observe the local culture.

I was in town for a couple of days so I had my wife come up and we spent about 3 days just looking around.

I had been by Centennial Park and the Parthenon several times and even stayed in hotels near there on many occasions but never took the time to go inside the park.

Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised at it's beauty.

Originally built for Tennessee's 1897 Centennial Exposition, this replica of the original Parthenon in Athens serves as a monument to what is considered the pinnacle of classical architecture.

The huge columns of
the Parthenon.
The world famous

The Grand Ole Opry.
The Robertson Memorial

My wife's car in front of
the Frist Center. There
just something about
this picture that I like.
